| Owner's Manual Vector 1500 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter The Vector Power On Board 1500 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter Model: VEC 550 POB is one of the most advanced DC to AC power inverters available configured with the latest Soft Start Technology which also incorporates a new cooling technology. The new design cools the power transistors more efficiently and combined with Soft Start, dramatically increases reliability and the life of the product. The VEC 550 POB converts 12 Volts DC (automotive and marine power) into 120 Volts AC, 60 Hz (standard household power). Gradual voltage ramp-up during inverter start-up. This helps eliminate failed cold starts under load. Output that momentarily dips in voltage and quickly recovers to allow large motorized loads to start. This eliminates almost all shutdowns from momentary overloads. AC power is supplied via three standard North American grounded, plug-in receptacles (U-ground). This allows the connection and operation of most 110/120VAC powered electrical and electonic appliances. One green LED that lights when the inverter is operating. One combination over-temperature and overload LED. If this lights, the inverter will automatically shut down. On/off switch that shuts off the AC output and all inverter functions. This switch is also used to reset the inverter after shut down due to overload or over-temperature condition. The VEC 550 POB is ideal for powering many TV/VCR combinations, refridgerator/freezers, lights, radio receivers, transceivers, heavy duty power tools & chargers, stero systems, small microwave overs, household appliances, computers and peripheral equipment, dry and/or wet-and-dry vacuums and sump pumps, motors and other electrical equipment.
